Professor Lisa M. Dolling named Dean of Stevens’ College of Arts and Letters

Former Associate Dean will play a vital role in nurturing CAL

HOBOKEN, N.J. ― Professor Lisa M. Dolling has been appointed Dean of the College of Arts and Letters at Stevens Institute of Technology.

Dolling replaces Professor James E. McClellan III, the founding Dean of the College of Arts and Letters. McClellan will, however, “continue to play an integral role in the future of CAL as it realizes its pedagogical and scholarly mission,” said George P. Korfiatis, Provost and University Vice President.

Dolling spent the past five years as Coordinator of the Philosophy Program at Stevens, and for the last two years worked as Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Letters.

Before she arrived at Stevens, Dolling was an Associate Professor of Philosophy at St. John’s University in New York , where she also served as Executive Director of the University Honors Program.

“Working alongside Dean McClellan and Associate Dean Edward Foster, Professor Dolling has played a vital role in the nurturing of CAL ,” said Provost Korfiatis. “As Dean, she will continue to steer the college on the path to excellence that they and the rest of the faculty have collectively set.”
