HOBOKEN, N.J. ― A new, groundbreaking approach to a Master of Technology Management program for Experienced Professionals (EMTM) is being launched this fall by Stevens Institute of Technology. An executive program for scientists, engineers and other technical professionals, the degree propels those with five or more years of experience to emerge as industry leaders.
The 21-month program, the first of its kind in the nation, blends brief traditional classroom experiences with Stevens’ award-winning online learning unit, WebCampus. It is one of only three technology management programs recognized by the National Board of the American Society for Engineering Management
“Our EMTM program builds both business and technology management skills,” remarked Prof. Murrae Bowden, Program Director. “It leverages Stevens’ strong reputation in engineering, science, and technology management to provide students with the skills, knowledge and leadership to manage business and technology effectively.”
The Master of Technology Management degree offers the fundamental skills and tools required to manage technology-driven businesses effectively. Constantly reviewed and updated in response to industry needs, courses provide access to top industry executives and highly skilled faculty, many with dozens of years of corporate experience. Following completion, graduates may elect to continue to earn an MBA in Technology Management at Stevens, taking only five additional courses.
The program is housed in the Wesley J. Howe School of Technology Management, one of the world’s preeminent schools for professional education, recognized for pioneering research, a distinguished faculty, and entrepreneurship.
