Hundreds of mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters will join their Stevens Institute of Technology student for "Family Day" at the university this Saturday, Oct. 3, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Stevens Hoboken campus. The media is invited to all the events that day.
The students and their families will attend various classes, workshops and other activities as they spend time on campus. A special "A Day in the Life" of a Stevens student session at 10:00 a.m will also give the families a chance to attend typical classes, labs and lectures and gain additional insight into a regular day at the university.
In addition, the families will attend World Wide Web classes and take a tour of Stevens newly renovated Grace E. and Kenneth W. DeBaun Auditorium. The auditorium is a new multi-functional center offering distance-learning programs, conferences, lectures, theatrical performances and other cultural events. The renovations marry the technology with the 19th Century grandeur inspired by the auditoriums original architect, Richard Upjohn.
